BRICK BUILDING COMPETITION RULES

  • Tables, chairs, and LEGO® bricks will be provided. No outside pieces will be permitted.
  • Building supplies will include: 32x32 base plate, a mix of multi-colored 2x2, 2x3, and 2x4 bricks, windows, doors, and LEGO® Firefighter Truck Pieces: axles, wheels, beams, and plates.
  • No on-site assistance from the audience or those not registered as a team member will be permitted during the competition.
  • Judging will be performed by community leaders and industry professionals. 
  • One team cannot borrow from another team or use any blocks other than their own. It is against the rules to exchange or intermix blocks with another team.
  • There will be volunteers in the room to answer questions. If you have any questions, please raise your hand and someone will come over to answer your questions.
  • All contestants will have 90 minutes to build their firehouse. We will let you know when the contest is over. You must stop building as soon as we announce the end of the building phase of the contest.
  • The awards presentation will be at 2:00. Grand prize is $1,000.
